MIR440E

4 Input x 4 Output Audio Processor

Overview

The MIR-E series, a cost-effective audio processor, is MARANI Pro Audio's latest response to the entry level market needs. It boasts a performance on par with the MIR-A series, with exceptional background noise levels as low as -91dBu. This, coupled with a high dynamic range and robust internal DSP computation, allows it to cater to a broad spectrum of audio applications.

The series includes four models: MIR260E (2 in, 6 out), MIR360E (3 in, 6 out), MIR440E (4 in, 4 out), and MIR480E (4 in, 8 out).

Beyond standard audio processing, the MIR-E series also features the MIR (Marani Impulse Response) linear phase frequency division filter. Despite having the filter shape of a traditional IIR filter (Linkwitz-Riley 24+48/oct), the MIR does not produce any phase shift. The resulting delay is approximately half that of an FIR filter, facilitating easier engagement of split-point phases and yielding lower delay. All of MARANI's offerings are designed to enhance sound quality.

The incorporation of dual RMS compressors provides a superior protection mechanism for the sound amplification system. These compressors are used to control signal dynamics and shape sound intensity, ensuring optimal performance.

Features

Channels:
4 input channels and 4 output channels

Sampling Rate:
48KHz Ensures high-quality audio processing.

Frequency Response:
Remains flat between 20Hz-45kHz, with an impressively low background noise level of -91dBu and a maximum input level of +20dBu.

Matrix Mixing:
Innovative full matrix mixing allows any input channel to be routed to the output channel. Adjacent output channels can also be overlaid onto the physical output.

RMS Compressor:
Each input and output channel comes with an RMS compressor, which can regulate the signal dynamics in the input channel or be used to shape the sound intensity. The output end can provide RMS thermal power protection based on the RMS power value of the speaker unit.

MIR Linear Phase Crossover Filter:
The device introduces a new MIR linear phase divider filter. This frequency divider filter, shaped like a classical filter (LR24/48), does not produce any phase distortion, ensuring a flat phase curve.

Network Interface:
The device is equipped with a standard network port and connects via a TCP/IP local area network (LAN). The PC automatically detects the device, avoiding the various driver and connection issues associated with USB/RS485 online due to the diversity of Windows series and hardware. A wireless router can be used for wireless connectivity, offering more efficient and stable device control.

Group Settings:
A new group setting allows for the simultaneous control of 32 processors. This unified control of gain, silence, etc., enhances the convenience of multi-machine debugging.

Dynamic Loudness :
The input channel is fitted with a dynamic loudness riser, which can significantly enhance the listening experience.
